my stay at mainstay suites was quite enjoyable! the breakfast was excellent with a great selection both mornings. the location was perfect, being close to the airport and grand canyon university. i also appreciated the outdoor pool and fitness center available for guests.

traffic noise

the hotel had this incredible decor, but unfortuantely, the traffic was louder than my last tornado warning. also, I requested a late checkout, only to be told, 'no. ' after begging, they finally granted it. still, would it have killed them to offer me an upgrade as a small token of appreciation for my 'suffering'?

We stayed with our big family and loved the clean, comfy Efficiency King Suite. The breakfast was a hit with the kids, and we enjoyed trips to nearby attractions like the Reach 11 Sports Complex for some fun activities.

My kids wished the sofa bed was more comfortable.

Great for Family Visits Despite Some Challenges

We enjoyed our family stay, but the noise from the nearby roads was overwhelming. Breakfast could use more variety. However, the staff made sure we were comfortable. If possible, request a room facing away from the street. Overall, not bad for a family getaway if noise isn't a dealbreaker.

This was just an appropriate option for a weekend jaunt in Phoenix with great value for money. The hot breakfast was a nice start to the day and had plenty of hot items to choose from. For future visitors, try to get a room away from the highway for a quieter night.
